The outside of the box has a window cut in it. There is a piece of Ortho Lith film in the window with a picture of fingers holding a porcupine quill. You view the inside of the box through this outside image.
The inside is sculpted with paper maché. The figure on the ladder is seen through a Pablo Neruda poem.
